Kodak EasyShare C653 Review at LaptopMag
Source: laptopmag.com

LaptopMag has a review of the Kodak EasyShare C653: "On our tests, photos were slightly undersaturated, but colors and focus were decent. The manual setting lets you bump the ISO up to 1250 for low-light shots, but it's buried in the menus. We recommend maxing out at 800 for the best results. While the EasyShare C653 starts up in around two seconds, there's a three- to four-second delay between shots, which is on the slow side, and VGA video clips are captured at a low 10 fps."

Sigma SD14 Review at ePhotozine
Source: ephotozine.com

ePhotozine has a review of the Sigma SD14: "It is not the fastest camera out there but for many forms of photography speed is not essential. What the SD14 does have, apart from the advances in handling over its predecessors, is superb image quality and colour fidelity when used in its intended RAW format. Having taken away all of the over-sophisticated beginner modes has freed the camera up to take images in a simple and uncluttered way but you need to spend some time in post processing to get the best images."

Design Study Model in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the launch of Asahi Pentax
Source: Pentax

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Asahi Pentax (common name: AP type) since its release in 1957. Taking this opportunity, we built up a design study model based on Digital SLR K10D. Asahi Pentax AP features Pentaprism for the first time that led to the origin of PENTAX brand. PENTAX materialized correct image of viewfinder image which was previous challenge for PENTAX. The built-in flash was removed from this design study model, and recreated characteristic delta roof for Asahi Pentax AP.

Samsung GX10 Review at DCViews
Source: dcreviews

"As the Samsung is in fact a rebadged Pentax model with some cosmetic changes, all older Pentax lenses with KA, KAF or KAF2 mount will fit the GX 10, which could be an important consideration in deciding which camera to go for. If however you are new to DSLR photography you will find an excellent mid-range DSLR in the Samsung. Looking at its extensive list of features it can certainly hold its own among other DSLRs today. The GX10 is built like a tank with solid well-placed buttons and dials and handy weatherproofing. It provides fast performance with excellent results and comfortable handling. It comes with handy extras like dust removal and built-in optical image stabilisation plus a couple of other advanced features not found on certain other reflex cameras. So if you like what we told you about the Samsung GX10, try one out in the shops and see if it suits you.

Panasonic DMC LZ7 Review at Cameras.co.uk
Source: Cameras.co.uk

"My first test shot produces a pleasingly sharp photo. The sharpness is also retained as you move towards the edge of the shot. Colours are well balanced without being as deep and vivid as you can manage with some digital cameras. ... The Panasonic DMC LZ7 is a solid camera for the price. Compared to cheaper models with shorter zoom lenses I think this camera offers better value for money. Although picture quality is not perfect it is a cut above that offered by many entry level models."

Casio EXILIM Hi-ZOOM EX-V7 Review at Steve's DigiCams
Source: steves-digicams.com

The Casio Exilim EX-V7 offers a tremendous amount of features in a small compact package while continuing the tradition of a durable, lightweight model that can be tucked away just about anywhere, while still capturing great photos and offering outstanding performance. It has loads of user-friendly exposure modes, and with an MSRP of around $399, we feel it offers a good value. The camera itself is a pleasure to use; it's fast, is feature-packed, easy to use, has very reliable exposure, and an excellent movie mode. The decision is yours."

Canon 1D MKIII Review at Luminous Landscape
Source: Luminous-landscape.com

Luminous Landscape has a review of the Canon 1D MKIII: "Let's cut to the chase. In my initial evaluation I judge the MKIII to have between a one stop and two stop advantage over any Canon camera to date in terms of high ISO noise. And at the risk of starting a barroom brawl, previous Canon cameras have been as good as if not arguable better than any other manufacturer's DSLRs when it comes to low noise at high ISO. One can also quibble as to whether the Canon 5D has been the best yet (my opinion), but there will be no argument that with the MKIII Canon has now exceeded what has come before, and has set a new benchmark for low noise."

Canon PowerShot S5 IS review at dpreview
Source: dpreview

Finally we have the update everyone had expected at PMA, the new PowerShot S5 IS digital camera. The S5 IS features an eight megapixel 1/2.5" (5.8 x 4.3 mm) CCD sensor and a twelve times Image Stabilized zoom lens. Unfortunately this lens, while offering long reach with its maximum 432 mm equiv. FOV doesn't improve at the wide end with the same 36 mm equiv. FOV as the S3 IS. Improvements include Face Detection (for AF, AE and Flash in shooting mode and red-eye removal in playback), a 2.5" LCD monitor (up on the S3 IS) and a flash hot-shoe. Still no RAW support though.
